{"id":30516,"date":"2025-08-28T13:23:56","date_gmt":"2025-08-28T11:23:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.equalitas.it\/2025\/08\/28\/standard-sopd-equalitas-revisione-5\/"},"modified":"2025-09-02T13:01:54","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T11:01:54","slug":"standard-sopd-equalitas-revisione-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.equalitas.it\/en\/2025\/08\/28\/standard-sopd-equalitas-revisione-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Standard SOPD Equalitas \u2013 Revision 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-1 fusion-flex-container nonhundred-percent-fullwidth non-hundred-percent-height-scrolling\" style=\"--awb-border-radius-top-left:0px;--awb-border-radius-top-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-right:0px;--awb-border-radius-bottom-left:0px;--awb-flex-wrap:wrap;\" ><div class=\"fusion-builder-row fusion-row fusion-flex-align-items-flex-start fusion-flex-content-wrap\" style=\"max-width:1456px;margin-left: calc(-4% \/ 2 );margin-right: calc(-4% \/ 2 );\"><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_1_1 1_1 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:100%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:1.92%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:0px;--awb-spacing-left-large:1.92%;--awb-width-medium:100%;--awb-spacing-right-medium:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:1.92%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-spacing-right-small:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-small:1.92%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1\"><div style=\"text-align: right;\">August 28, 2025<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">From 1\u00b0 August 2025, after one year of its publication and coexistence with revision 4 of the SOPD Equalitas Standard, revision 5 becomes the only applicable one.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The drafting of the fifth version of the Standard Equalitas follows a broad consultation, conducted with the aim of understanding the needs of stakeholders and the evolution of the concept of sustainability on the international scene.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The revision work was guided by the Technical-Scientific-Ethical Committee involving representatives of the academia, the world of production, consumers, trade associations and regulatory bodies.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">The new edition of the Standard introduces several new features, with particular attention to:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"elementToProof\">Simplify the certification process for farms participating in territorial projects (DfS);<\/li>\n<li class=\"elementToProof\">strengthen inter-chapter coherence between Chapters 6 (SP) and 7 (DfS);<\/li>\n<li class=\"elementToProof\">give greater characterisation of the indicators with respect to the wine sector;<\/li>\n<li class=\"elementToProof\">keep the Standard in line with key international voluntary regulatory references, including auditing protocols;<\/li>\n<li class=\"elementToProof\">include cutting-edge topics, not yet present in most voluntary international regulatory references.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Until 31 July 2025, the Organizations were able to choose between revision 4 and revision 5, but with an important clarification: certificates issued in Rev. 4 cannot expire after 31 July 2026, even if the ordinary validity of the certificates is three years.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\">Equalitas undertakes to issue a revision of the Standard at least every 3 years. Having said this, it is noted that this revision is the fifth in the eight years of life of the Standard.
